九江学院是经国家教育部批准设立的国有公办全日制本科普通高等院校,面向全国30个省(市)招生。办学历史可上溯至1901年由美国基督教卫理公会创办的但福德学校,现办学体制为军地共建、省市共建。学校坐落在长江中下游的历史文化名郡——江西省九江市,位于庐山之麓、长江之滨、鄱阳湖之畔,校园美丽如诗,生态环境优越。名城、名山、名江、名湖,造就了九江学院的灵气,尤其是具有千年历史、享有“天下书院之首”美誉的白鹿洞书院,更为九江学院赋予深厚的文化气息和办学氛围。

九江学院艺术学院有35年的办学历史,主要为社会培养文化、艺术教育事业和经济建设服务的各类应用型人才,目前开设有省级特色专业4个:环境设计、产品设计、视觉传达设计、数字媒体艺术;师范类专业2个:美术学、音乐学,以及服装与服饰设计、绘画、舞蹈学、舞蹈表演等共10个本科专业。毕业生遍布全国20多个省市、自治区,就业率近90%。

九江学院艺术学院聚集了一批治学严谨、从艺精深、教学经验丰富、业务能力强,在省内外有一定影响的教师。现有在校学生2701人,教师117人,其中教授5人,副教授23人,博士2人、硕士70余人,形成了一支颇具实力的教师队伍。近两年,已获国家专利授权50余件,学生在国家级各类专业比赛中获奖68项,省市级各类专业比赛获奖246项。

为了加强实践教育,强化能力培养,艺术学院已建立校外实践(实习)基地共17个。其中,教育实习基地8个、艺术设计类实习基地3个、写生教学实习基地3个、非物质文化遗产实习基地2个、艺术表演实践基地1个,并拥有江西省唯一一家非物质文化遗产研究基地。此外,艺术学院还与俄罗斯圣彼得堡国立工艺美术学院、芬兰卡亚尼理工大学开展合作办学,每年选聘优秀学生赴国外学习。

九江学院艺术学院秉承教学型、应用型的办学目标定位,密切结合经济社会的发展对人才需求的变化,积极实行教学改革,努力走有特色的发展之路。

美术学专业(本科)全国普通高校美术学(教师教育)本科专业课程试点。

专业适用范围:

培养具有掌握美术学科基本理论、基本知识与基本技能,具有较高的艺术修养和审美水平,文化视野开阔,具有传承和弘扬中华民族优秀文化艺术的使命感,具有终身学习的能力和善于探究的学习态度,毕业后适合在高等和中等学校进行美术教学研究的教师、教学研究人员和其他教育工作者;适合到各文化站点从事美术研究与活动策划工作;适合到部队、工矿企业、媒体出版等事业单位、社区从事城乡美术文化普及工作的高级应用型专门人才。

专业主干课程:

中小学美术课程教学论、绘画基础、设计基础、工艺基础、设计与制作、中国美术史、外国美术史、书法与篆刻、中国画、油画、美术创作

绘画专业(本科)

专业适用范围:

具备绘画艺术创作、教学等方面的能力,具有能在文化艺术领域、教育、设计、研究、出版、管理等单位从事教学、创作、研究、管理等方面工作的综合素质融入学校的培养目标,具有较强实践能力和创新精神的高级应用型专门人才。实施方向选修的教学模式,我院已同俄罗斯圣彼得堡国立工艺美术学院建立互选派“学生留学”的合作方式,踏上了中外合作办专业的教学模式。

专业主干课程:

绘画基础、美术概论、中外美术史、中国画、油画、美术创作、二维动画、陶艺、雕塑、油画材料技法

视觉传达设计专业(本科)省级特色专业

专业适用范围:

培养有较高审美艺术素养,掌握视觉传达艺术设计基本理论和专业技能,将项目化教学法应用于课程,在教学内容上结合市场进行训练,培养具备一定的造型能力、审美能力、创造能力以及艺术设计实际操作能力,具有广告策划、广告创意设计与制作、商用展示环境设计与布置等视觉传达设计的专业技术能力和应用表现能力。在各级各类视觉传达艺术设计、出版教育及广告传媒工作平台中能够熟练运用现代视觉传达设计手段,独立从事广告业务、商业美术、展示空间设计、网页制作和多媒体技术等高级技术的应用型专业人才。

专业主干课程:

构成设计、图形创意设计、广告设计与制作、商业摄影、标志设计、包装造型设计、书籍装帧设计、展示设计、编排设计、视觉形象识别系统设计、电脑辅助设计应用

环境设计专业(本科)省级特色专业

专业适用范围:

环境设计专业建设以建筑学为依托,侧重于建筑内环境设计、建筑外环境设计、公共艺术设计研究和教学,专业研究方向有室内外装饰设计、景观规划设计。

培养学生的专业技能,强化学生实际动手能力,紧密联系市场,以环境设计研究为平台,运用“产、学、研”的教学改革模式。培养具有从事环境设计工作和设计管理经营的高级应用型专业人才。

专业主干课程:

设计素描、设计色彩、设计速写、三大构成、人机工程、材料与工艺、室内设计方法、模型设计与制作、快速手绘表现、设计软件表现、家具设计、设计包装与营销

产品设计专业(本科)省级特色专业

专业适用范围:

培养学生的技术与艺术的双重素质,使学生能熟练运用造型设计原理和法则,处理各种产品的造型与结构、材料、工艺的关系,处理好产品与人、环境、市场的关系,具备新产品开发设计的能力以及与产品相关领域设计的基本能力。

专业主干课程:

设计素描、设计色彩、设计速写、工业设计概论、产品效果图表现技法、产品模型与制作、计算机辅助设计、产品设计、家具设计、版式设计、人机工程学

数字媒体艺术专业(本科)省级特色专业

专业适用范围:

培养学生在数字科技与艺术设计方面的整合能力、以用户体验为中心的创新设计能力。塑造“知识面宽、基础扎实、能力强、综合素质高、创新意识强”的数码艺术设计应用型人才。于2010年与芬兰卡亚尼理工大学成立了中芬合作游戏与动画实验室,办学条件与师资力量逐年增强,赢得社会广泛认可。

专业主干课程:

设计素描、设计色彩、构成、计算机网络与多媒体、界面设计、图形符号学、数字化设计艺术原理、交互艺术设计基础、电视和广告栏目包装

服装与服饰设计专业(本科)

专业适用范围:

培养掌握本专业基础理论知识和必要基本技能,具备服装与服饰流行预测及服装与服饰造型、结构、工艺综合设计能力,具有较强创新精神、实践能力和市场意识,能独立完成服装与服饰设计构思、效果图绘制、纸样设计、成品制作、品牌策划、经营管理等工作,能够在服装与服饰企业、专业设计单位、研究机构、广告公司、新闻出版机构等从事服装与服饰产品设计、视觉传达设计、品牌策划、市场营销、经营管理,以及服装与服饰理论研究等方面工作的复合型人才。

专业主干课程:

服装与服饰效果图表现技法、服装与服饰专题设计、服装结构与工艺、服装立体造型、服饰工艺制作、服装材料设计、服装与服饰展示陈列设计、品牌形象设计、风格与流行趋势研究

Jiujiang University Art Institute

Jiujiang University is state-owned public full-time undergraduate ordinary institution of higher learning which recruits students from thirty provinces or cities all over the country. The school history can be traced back to Danford School founded in 1901 by American Christian Methodist. The school-running system is joint efforts of the provincial and municipal government, army and civilians. The main campus is located in the historical and cultural famous county in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze river —the Jiujiang City of Jiangxi province at the foot of Mount Lu, the shore of Yangtze river and the side of Poyang Lake. Campus is as beautiful as poetry, ecological environment is rather superior. The city, mountain, river, lake are all celebrated which contribute to the aura of this university. Especially the White Deer's Hole Academy, the first among all the academies in China, gives the university a profound cultural ambience and management atmosphere.

The academy of arts in Jiujiang University has 35 years of school running history which mainly cultivates all types of application-oriented talents in the fields of culture , art education career and economic construction services. At present, it offers 4 characteristic specialties at provincial level— environment design, product design, visual communication design, digital media art, 2 pedagogic specialties—fine arts and musicology, 10 undergraduate specialties such us clothing and clothing design, painting, dancology, dance performance,etc. Graduates work across the country in more than 20 provinces, cities and autonomous regions, and the employment rate is nearly 90%.

The academy of arts in Jiujiang University has gathered a group of teachers with meticulous scholarship, profound artistic accomplishments, rich teaching experience and strong professional ability, with certain influence inside and outside the province. Currently it has 2,710 students, 117 teachers including 5 professors, 23 Associate professors , 2 Doctors, more than 70 masters which form a group of substantial teaching stuff. In recent two years, the academy of arts has gained more than 50 pieces of national patents authorization and students in this academy have won 68 state-level professional competition awards and 246 kinds of provincial and municipal professional competition awards.

In order to strengthen the practical education and enhancing ability cultivation, the academy of arts has built 17 off-campus practice ( internship) bases, among which there are 8 for teaching practice, 3 for art and design practice, 3 for sketching teaching practice, 2 for intangible cultural heritage practice, 1 for artistic performance practice and the only research base for intangible cultural heritage in Jiangxi province. Besides, the academy of arts also carries out the cooperation in running schools with St. Petersburg National Institute of Arts and Crafts in Russia, Kajaani Polytechnic University in Finland and recruits excellent students to study abroad every year.

The academy of arts adheres to the teaching–oriented and application-oriented target positioning, combining closely with the change of the economic and social development for talents demand, practicing the teaching reform actively, trying to go a characteristic road of development.

Cultivate teachers and teaching researchers and other educators who have a higher level of artistic accomplishment and aesthetic level, wide cultural vision, the sense of mission of inheriting and carrying forward the Chinese nation excellent culture and art, the abilities of lifelong learning and being adept in exploration learning attitude, suitable for institution of higher learning and secondary school art teaching, suitable for engaging in works of art research and activity planning at various cultural centers, suitable for advanced applicative talents who can engage in fine arts culture spreading for urban and rural areas in army, industrial and mining enterprises, media publishing institutions and communities.

Painting profession (undergraduate)

Professional scope:

Cultivate advanced applicative talents, capable of creation for art painting and teaching, capable of teaching, creating, researching, publishing and managing in these related fields, having the ability of practice and innovation. Implement the teaching model of specialized direction selection and has already sent each other overseas students with Russia National Institute of Arts and Crafts and embarked on a way of teaching model of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools.

Visual communication design profession (undergraduate) provincial characteristic discipline

Professional scope:

Cultivate applied professional talents with advanced technology, having higher aesthetic art accomplishment, mastering the basic theories and professional skills in visual communication artistic design, applying project-based teaching method to courses, combining teaching contents with markets to train students; having some modeling ability, aesthetic judgment ability, creation ability, actual operation ability in art and design, advertising planning, advertisement creativity design and manufacture, the commercial display environment design and layout in professional technical ability and application performance ability of visual communication design; being capable of skillfully using modern visual communication design methods in all areas and at all levels of visual communication artistic design, publishing education advertising media platforms to independently engage in advertising business, commercial art, exhibition space design, web-making, multimedia technology, etc.

Environmental design profession (undergraduate) provincial characteristic discipline

Professional scope:

Environmental design specialty construction is based on architecture, place emphasis on interior building environment design, exterior building environment design, public art design research and teaching. Professional research direction includes indoor and outdoor decoration design, landscape plan and design.

Cultivate the students’ professional skills, and strengthen the students practical operational ability. closely connect the market, With the platform of environmental design research, apply the teaching reform mode of industry-teaching-research. Cultivate the high-level application-type talents.

Product design profession(undergraduate) provincial characteristic discipline

Professional scope:

Cultivate students' double qualities of technology and art and make them be familiar with style design principles and laws. Deal with the relationships between shapes and structures, materials crafts of various products and also deal with the relationship between products and humans, environment, market. Having the basic abilities of new product development and design and domain design related to product.

Major courses:

Design sketch, design color, design drawing, introduction to industrial design, reflection techniques of product demo photo, the product model and production, computer aided design, product design, furniture design, plate design, man-machine engineering

Digital media art profession(undergraduate) provincial characteristic discipline

Professional scope:

Cultivate students the integrated ability in digital technology and artistic designing, and the innovation design ability revolving around the user experience. Build the digital art design applied talents who are knowledgeable, solidly based, capable, of comprehensive high-quality and strong sense of innovation. In 2010, established China-Finland cooperation game and animation laboratory with Finland Kayaani Polytechnic University and education conditions and faculties are strengthened which won widespread recognition.

Major courses:

Design sketch, color of design, structure, computer network and multimedia, interface design, graphics semiotics, digital design art principle, interactive art design principle, TV and advertising programs packaging

Clothing and apparel design profession( undergraduate)

Professional scope:

Cultivate versatile talents who master professional basic theoretical knowledge and basic skills, Clothing and apparel popular prediction; capable of clothing and apparel modeling and structure raft integrated design; with a strong innovative practice ability and market awareness, independently accomplish the clothing and sketch drawing, pattern design, finished product manufacture, brand planning, management and administration works; capable of engaging in clothing and apparel product design, visual communication design, brand planning, marketing, management and administration, also clothing and apparel theory research in clothing and apparel enterprise, specialized designing departments, research institute, advertising agency, agency for press and publications, etc.

Major courses:

Clothing and apparel sketch performance techniques, clothing and apparel thematic design, clothing structure and craft, apparel stereo modeling, apparel craft production, clothing material design, clothing and apparel display design, brand image design, style and popular trend research.
