很久以前，有个女孩儿名叫花木兰。木兰希望自己能做一个好女儿，让父亲为她感到骄傲，但这似乎很难。

Long ago, a girl named Mulan lived in China. She wanted to be a good daughter. She wanted her father to be proud of her. But it was hard to do.
One day, her father sat in the garden with her. He pointed to some flowers.

木兰很为她的父亲担心。父亲已经年迈体弱，不能再出征了。
A man rode into the village. He told everybody that an enemy army had invaded China. "One man from every family must serve in the Imperial Army," he yelled.
Once, Mulan's father was a great soldier. Now he was old and his body was weak. But he took the army papers. He had to join the army because he had no son.

那时只有男人才能参军，所以木兰只能女扮男装。她剪掉自己的长发，穿上父亲的盔甲。一切都准备好之后，木兰来到了父母的床前。二老都已经睡着了。木兰拿过放在桌上的军书，留下自己的头簪，然后跃上马背，冒着冰冷的夜雨毅然踏上了从军的道路。
Mulan wanted to help her country and save her father. She decided to take his place in the army.
Only men were allowed to join the army. Mulan had to look like a boy. She cut her long hair and put on soldier's clothes. Then she rode into the cold, rainy night.men 男人，man的复数形式boy 男孩儿cut 剪clothes 衣服then 然后cold 寒冷的rainy 下雨的

日子一天天过去，艰苦的训练一刻不停地进行着。新兵们每天从早到晚努力地练习，但仍然没人能爬到杆顶。
The next day, Shang began training the soldiers. He shot an arrow to the top of a pole. He told the soldiers to climb the pole. Nobody could do it.

Mulan was not the strongest soldier, but she was smart. One morning, she found a way to climb to the top of the pole! Mulan was excited! The soldiers were surprised. They let out a loud cheer!

李翔带领军队赶往前线，阻止匈奴的入侵。在白雪覆盖的山谷里，李翔的军队遭到了匈奴士兵的埋伏。大家立即退到旁边的山坡上向敌人发射火炮。一枚枚火炮向匈奴士兵飞过去，把他们炸得人仰马翻。可是，匈奴士兵人数众多，眼看着他们从山上冲下来，火炮却只剩一支了，怎么办呢？
The battle took place in the snowy mountains. Shang's soldiers fired their cannons, but their enemies were not afraid.snowy 被雪覆盖的mountains 山，mountain的复数形式
在这千钧一发的时刻，木兰灵机一动，抱起最后一支火炮，勇敢地向匈奴士兵冲了过去。木兰点燃了火炮，但是她瞄准的不是匈奴士兵，而是山崖上的积雪。火炮引发了雪崩，积雪倾泻而下，掩埋了匈奴的千军万马。木兰他们获胜了！
Mulan was very brave. She took the last cannon and went straight toward the enemy soldiers. She shot at the mountain! The snow fell down the mountain!
The enemy soldiers could not run away from the snow. It buried them. Mulan saved the day!went 去，go的过去式straight 笔直地snow 雪down 向下
可是积雪也咆哮着冲向木兰他们！在这危急的时刻，木兰的黑马向她跑去。木兰跨上马，逃过了雪崩。她找到李翔，把他也拉上马。其他士兵也都趴在安全的地方躲过了雪崩。大家终于都安全了。
Mulan saw that Shang was in trouble. The snow was still falling. It was dangerous! Mulan bravely rescued him, and everybody was safe.dangerous 危险的safe 安全的
在这场惊险的战斗之后，李翔最终还是发现了木兰的女子身份。女子是不允许参军的呀！李翔十分生气。但是他不忍心用军法惩办木兰，于是他带着军队回京城向皇帝复命，把木兰一个人留了下来。
Then Shang finally found out that Mulan was a girl. But girls were not allowed to be soldiers. Mulan was ashamed, but Shang was mad. He and his men left Mulan behind.finally 最终mad 生气的behind 在后面
看到大家都走了，木兰十分沮丧。她拖着疲惫的身躯，准备回家。突然，她听见一阵叫喊声。木兰赶紧朝声音传来的方向看去。六个匈奴士兵从雪堆里爬了出来，他们还活着！匈奴士兵的首领单于也没有死，他大喊道：“我要报仇！我要杀了中国皇帝！”单于带着匈奴士兵朝京城奔去。“我得阻止他们！”木兰心想。她立即跨上马，以最快的速度向京城赶去。
Mulan felt very sad and wanted to go home. But then she heard a noise. She saw six soldiers come out of the snow. Their leader, Shan-Yu, yelled loudly. He wanted to attack the Emperor!

京城里到处张灯结彩，人们都兴高采烈地欢迎凯旋的勇士们。大家并不知道单于和匈奴士兵已经潜入了京城。木兰找到了李翔，对他说：“单于还没死，他已经带着几个士兵潜入京城了！”但李翔不再相信木兰的话。
In the city, everybody was celebrating Shang's victory. When Mulan found Shang, he didn't believe her story about Shan-Yu.victory 胜利believe 相信
皇帝在一片祥和的气氛中正准备接见归来的勇士们。就在这时，单于和他的匈奴士兵冲了出来，劫走了皇帝。单于把皇帝锁在一间屋子里，然后爬上屋顶，炫耀地挥舞着他的宝剑。木兰和李翔怎样才能救出皇帝呢？
Meanwhile, the enemy attacked the palace. Shan-Yu grabbed the Emperor and locked him in a room! He ran to the roof and waved his sword. Mulan and Shang had to save the Emperor.room 房间waved 挥舞，wave的过去式
木兰和李翔先干掉了那几个匈奴士兵，然后找到单于，跟他搏斗起来。但是单于可不是轻易就能打败的。他把李翔打晕在地。木兰赶紧抓住机会点燃了一支火炮。看啊，火炮向单于冲了过去，只听见轰的一声，单于完蛋了！木兰打败了单于，救出了皇帝。她是个不折不扣的大英雄！
Mulan and Shang found Shan-Yu. They fought him, but Shan-Yu was very strong. He hurt Shang. Mulan found a rocket. She used it to defeat Shan-Yu! Mulan won the fight. The Emperor was safe, and Mulan was a heroine!defeat 打败won 赢，win的过去式heroine 女英雄
皇帝对木兰说：“你救了我们大家。”皇帝希望聪慧勇敢的木兰能够做国家的宰相。木兰婉言谢绝了皇帝的好意，告诉皇帝她只想回家。皇帝也没有勉强，他摘下自己身上的黄金龙牌，把它送给了木兰，说：“拿着这块龙牌，让你的家人知道你为朕做了什么。”皇帝又微笑着拿过单于的宝剑递给木兰，轻声说：“拿着这支宝剑，让全天下的人都知道你为国家做了什么。”
"You have saved us all," the Emperor said to Mulan.
Mulan politely told the Emperor she wanted to go home.
The Emperor handed Mulan a medal. "Take this," he said, "so that your family will know what you have done for me." He smiled and gave her Shan-Yu's sword. "And take this," he said quietly, "so the world will know what you have done for China."politely 有礼貌地smiled 微笑，smile的过去式quietly 轻轻地
木兰带着皇帝赐给她的礼物回到父母身边。

Mulan returned home to her parents.
Mulan's father was very happy to see her. He hugged her. She had bloomed like the flower. Her father was very proud.
