前言

Preface

2013年8月全国大学英语四、六级考试委员会发布了四、六级考试题型改革的通知,新增了段落翻译题,加大了主观题的考查,对考生单词的掌握情况在应用层面上提出了更高的要求。针对这一变化,我们第一时间策划编写了这本讲练结合、合理计划、多维呈现、科学记忆的词汇书,旨在帮助六级考生在较短的时间内突破词汇关,在词汇的掌握上再上一个台阶。

本书收录的词汇选自最新版《大学英语课程教学要求》中较高要求下的6395个单词,即我们常说的六级大纲词汇。本书内容力求重点突出、讲解透彻,不但适合广大六级考生自学备考使用,也适合用作六级考前培训班的授课辅助教材。本书具有如下三大特点:

辨析 peculiar, characteristic和distinctive都有“特有的;独特的”的含义。peculiar指某事物是某人或某地特有的,其他人或其他地方是不具备的;characteristic指某人或某物因自身具有某种典型的或本质的特点而有别于他人或他物;distinctive指某物因某种品质或特征而与众不同,暗含容易区分的意思。
