奶奶送给小姑娘一顶带帽子的红色斗篷。小姑娘特别喜欢它，天天都戴着，于是，大家都叫她“小红帽”。
Once upon a time, there lived a lovely girl. Her grandmother loved her very much and gave her a red hood. She wore it every day, so people called her Little Red Riding Hood.
有一天，妈妈对小红帽说：“奶奶生病了，你给奶奶送点儿蛋糕和水果去吧。奶奶见到你会很高兴，病也会好得快一点儿。”
小红帽拿起东西就往外走。妈妈拉住她，不放心地叮嘱道：“不要跑得太快，不然会摔倒，也不要在森林里贪玩，否则会耽误时间。”“我知道啦！”小红帽说完，就跑出了家门。
One day Little Red Riding Hood's mother told her, "Grandma is ill. Go to visit her and bring her some cakes and fruit. She will be very glad to see you."
Little Red Riding Hood agreed and got ready to go.
"Don't run too fast and don't play in the forest," her mother said.
"All right," said Little Red Riding Hood. Then she set off.
奶奶的家在森林里，离小红帽的家有很长一段路。小红帽刚走进森林，就遇到了一只狼。“小姑娘，你叫什么名字，要到哪里去啊？”狼问道。“我叫小红帽，要到奶奶家去。奶奶病了，我给她送蛋糕和水果。”小红帽很有礼貌地回答，她不知道狼是坏家伙。“你奶奶住在哪里啊？”狼开始打坏主意了。“就在大路尽头的橡树底下。”小红帽老老实实地回答。
Her grandmother's house was in the forest far from that of Little Red Riding Hood's. When Little Red Riding Hood went into the forest, she saw a wolf.
"Hello, what's your name? Where are you going?" the wolf asked.
"I'm Little Red Riding Hood. I'm going to my grandma's house. She is ill," Little Red Riding Hood answered.
"Where does your grandma live?" the wolf asked as he came up with an evil idea.
"At the end of this road, under the oak tree," Little Red Riding Hood said.
狼心中暗暗盘算：这小东西细皮嫩肉的，一定很好吃。她奶奶病了，应该也很好对付，我要想个办法，把她们都吃掉！
于是，狼假装和蔼地对小红帽说：“小红帽，这些花多美啊，你为什么不好好看一看呢？小鸟的歌声多好听啊，你干吗不停下来听一听呢？森林里有这么多好玩儿的东西，你却只顾埋头往前走，就像去上学一样，真是没劲透了！”
The big bad wolf wanted to eat both of them.
He said to Little Red Riding Hood, "Why don't you slow down and have some fun in the forest? Why not take a look at the beautiful flowers? Why not listen to the birds singing? How can you just keep walking so fast?"
听了狼的话，小红帽心动了。她还是个小姑娘呢，怎么会不贪玩
